My name is Tewogboye Oyenike Jegede. I am a corporate lawyer, a Harvard trained business negotiator, a wife, a mother, a missionary devotee and above all a child of God. I am a member of the Living Faith Church (a.k.a. Winners).
I was privileged to join CSM on the day the vision was shared by Omotunde Adebowale-David 18years ago in her dad’s living room at Isolo. Immediately after that, we commenced the pursuit of what became part of our life’s journey.
To enable us operate legally, I gladly took up the responsibility of registering the name “Sisters Concern” at the Corporate Affairs Commission. We operated by this name until we were led to change the name to Caring Sisters’ Ministry to foster expansion in the area of kingdom stewardship.
I have served in various capacities such as Financial Secretary, Programs Director, Welfare Director, Vice President and presently en-graced to serve as the current President.
My decision to embrace the CSM vision was born out of the quest to give expression to my personal ministry which I started way back in my University days (Agape Foundation). Without a life propelling vision like CSM, my life’s journey would have been hollow. My stewardship in CSM has given me the impetus to combat life’s challenges as my service in CSM became a cursor for my grand positioning in God’s agenda for my life. For me, CSM is not just an organization, it’s a Citadel of purposeful living.
Without a doubt, I have had pleasurable and rewarding time of service in CSM in the midst of like minds whom I share a symbiotic relationship of love, friendship, respect and vast support.
My CSM story cannot be complete without a set of ladies with whom I started this journey and are still vibrant in the place of service; they call us the CSM Ancestors but I call them Covenant friends. These ladies have challenged me to seek excellence in my life’s endeavor, they have cheered me on, motivated me, spurred me, continually help me discover my potentials and they have in diverse ways given expression (still giving) to what true friendship stands for.
I have also met other great minds and beautiful souls in CSM who are great motivators, good Christians and lovely people anyone should have in her “corner”.
18years on, CSM is blessed with beautiful ladies with diverse gifts and character traits worthy of emulation. In CSM, I see collaboration, I see team work, I see selflessness, I see women who forgive easily and I see beautiful souls who are ready to go extra miles to deliver on the CSM mandate. Our mandate to touch lives in little ways has gathered up many little acts of kindness that have transformed the lives of people we don’t even know. We are not there yet, but we are certainly not where we started from. A couple of days ago, God whispered to me that there are children yet to be born who will still benefit from this Ministry. Why? Because God has positioned CSM as their destiny helper. There are a lot of beneficiaries we are yet to meet but that God has positioned to benefit from CSM. This is why we cannot relent. This is why we cannot be tired regardless of circumstances around us. Our dream of a Shelter and Resource Center for homeless people (a.k.a. Shimawa) is bigger than us but still “little” before God. With God, we will accomplish this dream. It will be our real legacy to humanity on this side of the World.
This month, as we celebrate our 18th anniversary I hear God say we have not even started yet. There is no limit to where God is taking this vision and we can only raise our hands up for God’s lifting to such greater heights of impactful living and service to God and humanity. I pray God grants us health and wisdom to continue. I love you all my dear, beautiful Caring Sisters and I could NEVER trade you for gold! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
